Bone cancer develop when cells in the bone divide without control, forming a mass of tissue. Although bone tumors cannot spread, they may still weaken bone and lead to fractures or cause other problems.
According to research, the most common type of bone cancer is called osteosarcoma, which affects bone cartilage cells.
Here are some symptoms that will help you detect bone cancer:
* Pain
Pain in the area where the cancer is growing is the most common bone cancer sign reported by patients. The pain will not be constant at first, and may come and go. If you notice this kind of pain, consult a specialist immediately.
* Fractures
Bone cancer can weaken the bone, but most of the time the bones do not break. People with a fracture next to or through a bone cancer usually describe sudden extreme pain in a limb that had been sore for a few months.

In some cases, when the tumor affects a joint, it will become difficult to make certain movements. The person may have trouble getting around if the tumor affects the joint of the leg. Also, if the cancer cells are spread at the spine, they can affect a nerve and result in numbness and chills in the limbs.
* Swelling
If you notice that a certain part of your body is swollen, it means that the tumor is about to spread. A person may also feel a lump or mass, depending on the tumor’s location.
These are the rare symptoms:
• Sudden weight loss
• Perspiration
• Chills
• Fatigue
• Fever
If you notice one of these symptoms, it is recommended to go to your doctor immediately to have a proper check-up.
